After modifying SSHD.conf to the new port, and restarting SSHD, per other documentation…
Some errors after doing the above…
(XID 4f29va) The PostgreSQL service is down. at /usr/local/cpanel/Whostmgr/Accounts/Create.pm line 1226
Failed to start PostgreSQL database server.
Unit postgresql.service entered failed state.
postgresql.service failed.
postgresql has failed. Contact your system administrator if the service does not automagically recover.
To resolve the above error(s) you must also edit the /etc/csf/csf.conf file. Edit the SSHD port from 22 to your non-standard port. Failing to update this, and restarting csf can cause issue. Postgres failing to start. Can’t create users cpanel.
File / Path to Edit and Save:
/etc/csf/csf.conf
(SSHD port entry is at the very end of the conf file.)
